Christmas Card Ornament Craft Tutorial
Written by Jess Lindell, Marketing Manager
If you received our 2021 Christmas card and ornament in the mail this year, here’s a fun idea to make the most of your goodies. If you didn’t get a card, just use the button below to print a copy of the back of the Christmas card so you can get in on the fun too.
Supplies you’ll need: The 2021 Hay Creek Ranch Christmas card and ornament, scissors, hole punch, paint brush, paint, glitter, glue stick, and Mod Podge.
Option 1: Custom Photo Ornament
Start by printing and cutting out your favorite photo. I picked a photo of Reba and myself, just before we took to the trails.
Glue it to the back of your ornament, then cover it in Mod Podge to seal it all in.
While the Mod Podge is still sticky, you can add something fun like glitter. After it dries, add another layer of Mod Podge and let it dry again.
Option 2: Hay Creek Horse Ornament
If you don’t have a photo of your own, just cut out one of the horse photos from the Christmas card. Then glue it to the back of your ornament and seal it with Mod Podge.
Option 3: Mini Hay Creek Ranch Horse Ornaments
Cut out the photos of the horses from the Christmas card, then glue them together, punch a hole in the top, and paint the edges to make it look nice.
Seal both sides with Mod Podge and add a tie to the top so you can hang it on your tree.
